I've been experimenting around with using Digital Humanities tools -- at some point soon I'll put together a post about my findings, but here's a first go at a rather awesome timelining tool: Tiki-Toki. Easily make timelines with embedded images, links, videos that can be displayed in either 2d or 3d mode. I was so impressed, I paid out the £3.50/month for an actual account, allowing me to make up to 5 timelines and embed them on websites (among other things).
As a friend of mine noted - can you imagine using this at a talk or lecture? Way better than Prezi!
I did up a quick one on the life, works and context of Thomas More.
